This communication is part of the semiotic investigation on the production of portraits of the drag queens of Bucaramanga (Colombia), between 2019 and 2023. The construction of the photographs corresponds to an agent who transforms the male body to interpret the female character, in the scene, but which requires from the actor a series of skills and editorial actions of the images (that are shared on social networks mediated by the Internet). For the analysis, a selection of samples is made in which the drag queen, with a recognizable identity among followers and critics, plays other characters in scenarios created or intervened with digital resources. The photographs, which result from a complex production process, expose femininity located in fictional scenarios and with an eroticization of her face, typical of fashion representation. For the analysis, figurative elements and digital intervention are considered that recharges the construction of the female face with plastic resources. Enunciative strategies are also considered, from the perspective of visual semiotics and the semiotics of practices proposed by Jacques Fontanille. In the portraits of the drag queen, the visual constructions of the face match the set achieved with the sociocultural conventions of elegance, beauty, sensuality and feminine mystery, in the hands of the male actor, and the proposal of sinuous, polysemic forms and political and, above all, the reincarnation of a desired being.
