The aim of this dissertation is to identify the elements that allow us to build a theoretical, art historical and semiotic view from the sculpture new realities bodies.Artistic theories have always been linked to aspects of communication, but it is from the 20th century onwards that they are studied in depth based on the language theories of pure visibility. From the artistic historical perspective, Konrad Fiedler and from the aesthetic perspective Herbart. An aesthetic theory was built, the theory of artistic seeing. Each artist has their own representational codes and their own language. Is art a language in itself? It's a question to which art history and aesthetics have devoted great debates. As Pierce points out every artifice that allows us to operate an abstraction.Art moves between a symbolic form and emotions meanwhile some trends in contemporary art underline the disappearance of the symbol in contemporary art.For this purpose it study the approaches of Charles Sanders Pierce, Omar Calabrese, Eco regards to semiotics and Rudolf Wittkover and Panofsky regards art history.I will link the discourse of sculpture and the social function of the artist, which is based on denouncing or making society reflect about important issues.
