The present study examines the aesthetic evolution of Vivienne Westwood and its impact in the global culture from the perspective of deixis as a stylistic tool to convey cultural and social messages, and how this has been used as a strategy to contribute to its lasting impact on the world fashion scene and especially through the ideological. The conceptual and stylistic elements that have marked the career of Westwood as a fashion designer are examined through a meticulous review of her work and legacy. In addition it addresses how her aesthetic developments have had an impact in the perspective of fashion and in the creation of cultural identities globally. The purpose of this analysis is to highlight the role of deixis in the comprehension of the creations of Westwood and her relevance in contemporary culture. As a result, deixis is identified as a stylistic tool to transmit cultural and ideological messages by incorporating visual and linguistic elements that depend on context to acquire meaning. Finally, it is concluded that her capacity to merge fashion with social criticism has contributed to generate an iconic imprint around an influential figure in the world of contemporary fashion.
