The semiotics of landscape is one of the tendencies that have been dealt with by the studies of the sign in a particular and interdisciplinary way, especially in the last mode to the extent that the semiotic tools have been placed at the service of social sciences such as human sciences. The present text is a product of the analysis processes carried out within the Representation, Discourse and Power group of the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, which for more than 25 years has proposed to critically develop social studies of language, discourse and image in their contexts as an exercise of interdisciplinary interaction with referents such as Greimas and Foutanille (2017), Fabbri (2004), Berque (2009), Tuan (2015), Lotman, (1998) and Chaunu (1972) among other authors, who in this case specifically put in contact the disciplines in key of modulation of the semiotic landscape that is built from a latent voice and at the time in Latin America as is that of migration. For this reason, starting from "exile" as an opening category, this text proposes to develop a hermeneutics and semiotics of the literary text of José Martí as a classic exponent of this literature of exile. With the exploration of a corpus of some of his works we seek to account for the role of exile as a semiotic and territorial category latent in the creations and aesthetic conceptions of banished – body/territorial creations and to propose a line of work in semiotics of exile and migration.
